Hello Newgrounds!

My oldest friend... We've been together for so long I can't even remember a time without you in my life. I guess that's why occasionally I like to check up on you. You know, make sure you're doing alright. And my how you've grown! You've become more than I ever thought you could be and I must say, I am proud my friend.

I've grown as well! Oh, you'd be so proud of how I've advanced as an artist. I can safely say I've matured both as a man and a person. To be perfectly honest...

It's all thanks to you...

When we first met you razzled and dazzled my mind with the animations you'd show. You encouraged me to be open to other people and to ask for their help. To learn. To experience. I found a mentor in Tom, someone who I wanted to be like, but now I wish to be better than.

You gave me my first small taste of the lime light. Having so many people see my work was wonderful and all it could be! You taught me to work hard, to give my work all it needed, to draw day in day out, months go by, even years just for that one moment when I could look back and feel like I had a purpose.

I never really felt like we were meant to be together baby... I tried and tried but I could never get us to the point of where I wanted to be. Honestly, I see the guys you hang with and see how happy they make you. I could never be that kind of guy. At one point a while back ago I decided it was best to leave you and try to find my place in the world. I hope you've been happy and I haven't found my place in the world but I guess this is growing up right?

But I have a surprise!

I've been working really hard on a graphic novel for my series "Apocalypse Please"! It's about 160 pages and my God! It's by far the hardest thing I've ever worked on! I'm using everything I learned from you to make it the best I can. And although life is now harder without you and being alone... this is my life as an artist now. I haven't forgot about you and I'll always try to be with you, I just needed to take the next step forward. I'm going to try my hardest to get it published in January or February.

All I hope is that when I do find my place in this world, I can say that you were the one that inspired me.
